About

History

Dr. Gross and Dr. Kaplan met while completing their dental residencies at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Soon after, they worked together as coordinators of the Mount Sinai Department of Dentistry, and joined forces in 1984 to found a private dental practice.

Dr. Gross and Dr. Kaplan built their practice on the Upper East Side and, in 1995, moved into the current offices just off Fifth Avenue. Dr. Gross and Dr. Kaplan continue to offer patients expert dental care and a variety of specialized services.

Advanced technologies

Our expert diagnoses and treatments are enhanced by state-of-the-art dental technologies that enable us to:

  • Reduce radiation exposure: Reducing radiation exposure up to 90%, digital radiography enables us to take nearly instantaneous images that can be enlarged and enhanced to optimize diagnosis. We can also project these images onto the television screens located in each treatment room so that patients can see for themselves and better understand our treatment recommendations.
  • Preview changes to your smile: We offer two ways for you to preview potential changes to your smile: three-dimensional wax molds, and temporary bonding materials that give you a tangible sense of how the final outcome will appear. We also frequently refer to digital photographs to discuss potential changes with patients and our ceramist.
  • Enhance root canal therapies: Working with a micro-surgical dental microscope, our endodontist can make accurate diagnoses and perform more precise root canal therapies.
  • Recontour gum tissue: Thanks to our state-of-the-art diode dental laser, we can gently reshape gum tissues and enhance the aesthetics of your smile.
